However, anyone looking for a small (5/6 horses) professional yard, staffed by grooms with an eye for detail and empathy with the horse, that has a structured routine, would feel at home. Thundry Farm Livery & Training Yard is located in the heart of the Surrey Hills, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and within easy reach of the road network (M3, A3, M25).  

At the heart of everything that we do is our passion for the well being of the horses in our care. Their human owners run a close second.  We want everyone to look forward to being at the yard, whatever they do with their horse – hack, jump 90cm, or 1.30m.

Maintained school where jumps are set up and available for use. Group and 1-2-1 coaching available, plus visiting coaches and practitioners.

Three inclusive packages to work with the time you have available. All include:

We are mainly an adult yard, not that we haven’t had younger people here.  Anyone under 16 will have to be accompanied by an adult.  And all liveries are expected to be respectful of the facilities and other yard members, as we aim to have a peaceful environment.

Our large Martin Collins Activ-Track arena provides an outstanding surface for flatwork and jumping. Weekly clinics held throughout the year by a range of visiting instructors to cover all areas of training.

Grazing depends on your horse’s needs throughout the year. Options can be discussed if restricted is needed in the summer months. All types of livery include ad lib use of hay and haylage.

Full Monday to Friday, DIY on Saturday & Sunday.

• Daily basic feed. (supplements/special feeding provided by owner).

We provide a variety of livery services depending on the horses’s and owner’s needs. We offer 5 and 7 day part and full livery, sales livery, competition livery, schooling livery and working livery, all tailored to suit your needs.

All horses receive 5* care and are treated as our own. We are a friendly team and provide a warm and friendly atmosphere on the yard.

Steph specialises in showjumping and competes British Showjumping and has had great success with her own and owners horses. She is light enough to ride ponies and has also had great success jumping ponies in senior BS classes.

Steph also teaches, holding a UKCC qualification, and has over 20 years experience. She is kind and encouraging and teaches all ages and experiences also being a Pony Club branch and centre coach. Steph is always looking for horses to join her team.

Ideally situated in the picturesque village of Shotteswell, only 5 miles from Banbury and close to the M40.
