It was a really hard decision to send my boy away after his friend had passed away
I had been following Jess for a while on FB as I wanted a 5 star completion livery without the competition part as while my boy loves being out in the field as much as possible he also likes coming in
He has settled in fantastic
Now has a new bestie horse friend and they adore each other
And he has Jess running round after him treating him like a king as he was at home
One happy horse one happy owner
Thank you Jess for what you do for my boy and all the beautiful horses you look after so well

I have just moved my horse to Jess’s yard after a horrific experience else where. I can honestly say I am so relieved to have found Jess. The facilities are outstanding and my horse settled very quickly. He looks suoer happy and I’m excited for him to enjoy some rest with the hope in rehab next year or the year after, which Jess also offers support with. I know he will have the best time with the lovely happy herd he is out with.

My boy arrived at Jess’s yard last October after a very stressful return to the UK from France. It broke my heart sending him back to the UK but it was for his well being. He couldn’t have gone to a better place. He has the best care possible and settled down quickly to his new life.

We arrived at the yard in April this year after our horse needed urgent rehab. Jess has been fantastic with totally supporting us, being so professional, calm and knowledgeable. Our horse Rosie is very happy out in the field being closely monitored but has company with other horses and 1st class care. We would highly recommend Jess and the wonderful facilities she has to offer.

My horse moved to Jess back in February this year, moving across from a different retirement yard, & he settled very quickly!
The facilities that Jess offers for retired horses are second to none, she has really thought about what they need, over and above a standard livery yard. This includes expansive turnout, winter & summer, with “Astro” tracks to keep them out the mud (perfect for a horse retired due to suspensory issues, & really doesn’t enjoy pulling his legs through deep mud)! They also have huge field shelters which, given the winters we have, give the horses much needed comfort in all weathers. They have ad lib forage &, coming out of the winter, looked amazing!
It’s been a huge relief to find Jess and, in doing so, my lovely boy’s forever home!

Jess took in my mare after many “professionals” had struggled to handle her. From the moment she arrived, Jess provided exactly what she needed—calm, consistent handling and a deep understanding of how to support her sensitive nature. Under Jess’s care, she’s done a complete 180, and is now a very different and relaxed horse. We are incredibly grateful for the time, patience, and quiet confidence Jess gave her—it’s been truly transformative.

Our horse, Lilly, has been in retirement here for the past 2 years and she couldn’t be happier. The horses are so well cared for all year round and we get regular updates and photos of them. We are welcome to visit Lilly any time and have always been made welcome when we do. Elite Equine Rest and Retirement Home is a paradise on earth for horses and Jess cares for them like her own.

This place really is something special , Jess is so welcoming and supportive and I genuinely feel if anyone can get your horse back to work, she’s your lady! Having had to make the hard decision to give my 9 year old some time off to see if we can get him right, I settled on Elite Rest and Retirement and from the moment we arrived , I knew I’d made the right choice for him. The land and facilities are beautiful and I have every confidence he’s in the best of hands. Cannot recommend this place enough if you’re looking for retirement or somewhere just to rest your horse from injury etc.

Quite simply the best place you can retire your horse to. Jess is so knowledgeable , looks after my beloved boy like her own and lets him him make his own decisions about where he wants to be and who he wants to be with (and at the moment that’s with Bert on her front lawn!!). Retiring your horse is a big decision and can be stressful but if you want to give them the best possible retirement in beautiful, calm surroundings then Jess should be your number one choice.

I thoroughly recommend Jess and her beautiful yard. It’s horse heaven. They are able to relax, destress and learn how to be a horse again. I live a long way from her yard but Jess keeps in touch, sending photos and updates. My mare learned to completely relax and was very happy during her time there. Jess really does look after your horses like her own.
