I moved my thoroughbred gelding to Gemswood in October 2025 and he settled so quickly. Lynn is incredibly supportive and kind. Dilwyn is a sensitive soul and I can tell from how he is that he’s really happy there. The arena is lovely; it’s a great surface and the hacking is brilliant, hardly any roadwork to get to really varied hacks. We can also hack to Parwood. It took me a long time to find somewhere, I’m so glad I persevered and found Gemswood.

I would highly recommend Gemswood. The yard is friendly and very professionally ran. The horses are all cared for to such a high standard.

I arrived a month ago to a yard of happy horses & lovely people.
Gemswood is a very bespoke livery yard where each horse is treated as their own are. The standard of care is very high all round from the feeding, mucking out poo picking etc.
The grazing is also very good, my horse is always content and happy full of good quality grass. There is hacking across Normandy common and onto the ranges which goes on for miles. There are also lovely people to go out Hacking or on adventures with!

I arrived in jan this year , and I can say wholeheartedly that in 30 years of owning and competing horses this is the nicest most friendly yard I’ve been on. Very bespoke, the facilities are lovely and the hacking on the ranges is great for fittening work. The school is a lovely surface , and the turn out is well managed and lush grass. Lynn and her family live on site and couldn’t be more helpful and knowledgeable. Her daughter competes at a high level and teaches on site so lessons available, my young horse is part of the family, the stable beds always immaculate and face their garden so 24 hr supervision. No yard politics and a friendly smile when you arrive. A little sanctuary for horse and owner !!! A hidden gem , will probably be here for quite some time !!!!!
